Spooky Halloween House
Take a store bought Halloween gingerbread house and make it your own.
A quick and easy project to decorate your table for the 31st. This was a plain Halloween gingerbread house kit purchased from Costco. Included in the kit were the cookies, icing, and some candies.
I decided to forgo the use of the candies as they were bright pastel colours, not really fitting for Halloween. One candy bat was used for the door handle as it was black.
I love making edible eyes using isomalt and had a great time with these scary ones! It’s not easy to see in the photos but there is some gold glitter in them too giving a little sparkle.
Fondant embossed using a wood impression mat gives the house a derelict appearance. We are looking forward to smashing and eating this on Wednesday!
