What a fun 21st cake for a pet-loving young lady!!!
This two-tier double chocolate cake features Jasper & Penny, super cute pets of the birthday girl.
The original cake that inspired this design was found on Pinterest, unfortunately, I don’t have the artist’s name in order to credit them. If you know the original artist, please let me know.
I had a lot of fun making the cute little cactus pots, you may have seen my social media posts while I was creating them. Adding a coat of shiny spray to the pots gave them the look of glazed terracotta pots. I originally planned to add some petal dust to the cactus but loved the simplicity of them without so left it off.
I added a few extra details including wafer paper “sails” to represent ripped paper. The topper is from my favourite topper supplier, Sandra Dillon Designs.
The backside of the cake features the pets’ cute butts! A few highlights of silver leaf and rods completed the cake.
