Buttercream & Wafer Paper
As many of you have seen on social media, I’ve been playing with wafer paper a lot lately.
This buttercream beauty incorporates many of the flowers I have been making with some simple piping and edible cake lace.
I used the homemade cake lace recipe from Veena Azmanov’s website as I always do, it never fails to succeed. After it was dry I painted with some “Champagne Gold” lustre mixed with decorator’s spirit. I didn’t scrape my lace mat as much as I usually do as I was hoping for some more solid areas and was pleased with the result.
The scattered petals were piped using Loyal 125 medium petal tip. Some homemade gelatin glitter and some sugar pearls created a bit more texture.
My swiss meringue buttercream was coloured with Colour Mill Rose, oil-based colouring.
Another exquisite piece Fiona!! We are doing good too, hope you are all settled into your new home and enjoying life!
