Flow…
My daughter named this cake “Flow”. A birthday cake for an artistic young lady.
This was my first try using rice paper, usually, I’m all about the wafer paper! I really like the result of the rice paper and it was surprisingly easy to use.
After shaping and drying the rice paper, I gave it a light airbrush. If kept away from moisture, I assume the rice paper decorations will last indefinitely.
I added some small and simple wafer flowers – hydrangeas and mini blossoms. A few sections of white nonpareils and silver leaf and she was done.
Inside was an orange cake layered and covered in pomegranate swiss meringue buttercream. “Flow” was very well received by the birthday girl :.
