Kintsugi style cakes

Kintsugi is the Japanese art of taking broken ceramics and mending them with visible materials, usually resin and gold. The breaks become part of the object’s history, beautifying them even more.

Whilst my cakes weren’t broken, I used the kintsugi art as inspiration for these buttercream cakes. The buttercream was leftover from another project, I’ll probably go with more subtle shades next time.
