Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, or “Cake Day” as I like to call it!

Each year the Cancer Council of Australia has a massive fundraiser, Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea. During the months of May and June this year, Aussies are encouraged to host a morning tea to raise funds for the Cancer Council. Homes and workplaces all over the country participate, eating lots of yummy treats and raising money for a great cause.

My workplace hosted a morning tea today. We had lots of tasty goodies to eat made by our staff and members and of course great company.

I made some vanilla cupcakes, filled with homemade lemon butter and topped off with swiss meringue buttercream.

The Cancer Council of Australia uses the daffodil as their logo, so I had a go at piping some on top. Not your traditional daffodil as I used one of my Russian tips for the centre. I think it was a decent representation anyway.
