21st Chocolate Fun

Another chocolate beauty loosely based on my Chocolate Overload Cake.

 

This one was for a 21st birthday surprise. I decided to make it a little more feminine for the birthday girl by adding my homemade chocolate lace. I was so happy with the result of this lace as it was a bit of an experiment!

A 6″ gluten free chocolate cake standing 8″ high, filled and covered in chocolate¬†ganache and finished in swiss meringue buttercream stripes. Topped with macarons, handmade chocolate fans, and chocolates from The Source¬†it stood at about 16″ tall!

A few bits of gold leaf to finish it off and it was ready to be delivered to the venue, The Duxton.
