Chocolate high heel cake

You may have seen my last post about chocolate high heel shoes, well….I decided to go with the green bow.

A round, 3 layered cake, somewhat resembling a hat box is what I adorned using the chocolate heel. I added a colour coordinated inner sole that was also personalised with the birthday girl’s name.

Covered in white fondant and painted with Edible Art Paint meant no kneading colour into the fondant and was super quick and easy.  I used a mixture of fondant and dark modelling chocolate for the onlay, in hindsight I should have used straight fondant as the modelling chocolate didn’t enjoy the heat this week!

The onlay used was “Birds with Blossoms” by Marvelous Molds. I used this onlay a while back in my hanging bird cake.
