A two tier beauty to try out a new ruffle technique.
I purchased Man versus Cake’s new tutorial a few weeks ago in which he teaches a wonderful new way to create ruffles and rosettes on the side of a cake. As it is a purchased tutorial I can not share the technique with you here but you can still enjoy the beautiful outcome!
The top tier was decorated with homemade fondant using a marbling technique (quick video below) with just a touch of Edibleart Champagne Gold paint. Inside was a neapolitan style cake, chocolate mud, strawberry, and vanilla cake layers with chocolate ganache in between.
I was strapped for time this week so purchased a fresh succulent and some eucalyptus to decorate the top.
The birthday girl was very happy with the result!
