Fiona Poole Twins on the way!
I’m sure that title would have caught the attention of some of you!!! No, I am not expecting twins, a friend is 🙂
We have been so grateful for the many people we have met over here in Texas but no one more than the expecting couple. These lovely people went out of their way to meet us (complete strangers) at DFW airport the night we arrived. We were grateful when the meeting was suggested, little did we know just how grateful for it we would be! They helped us navigate our way to the car rental area (I know that sounds lame but the rentals aren’t at arrivals, they are quite a bus trip away!), and then we followed them on the crazy roads from DFW airport to the other side of Fort Worth. Since that first night they have helped us with numerous settling in tasks and advice.
Sooooooo, when we heard their news of twins on the way, we were all (and still are) overjoyed!!! Exciting times ahead.
I made these cookies as a little congratulations gift to the lovely couple.
The baby faces are 🙂 🙂 🙂 SMILING 🙂 🙂 🙂 because they are going to be very well behaved and happy peas for their parents.
I had fun making these (although remembered half way through how much I despise black royal icing). I wish I had taken a photo of the cookies after airbrushing but before piping, as I was very impressed with my airbrush gradient from lighter to darker 😛
I have a bit of a wait until I can have a cuddle, but it will be worth it.
Congratulations again you 2, you will rock this whole parenting gig. x
