“Cute” Rugby League Cake

What better way to end exam period than baking 🙂  My nieces had a joint birthday party this afternoon and requested a rugby league cake.  It had to have the Canberra Raiders and South Sydney Rabbitohs included on it.  It took me a while to work out how to make it a little bit girly, they are only 10 and 8 after all.

What we came up with was a rugby field with teddy bears wearing team jerseys.  On the back of the jerseys was their birthday age.  The teddies were vanilla cake and the field was chocolate mud cake.

All 18 kids at the party seemed to enjoy it, faces covered in chocolate and green icing at the end 😛
